Healthy Camping?
I need some ideas from you all.
I am going camping for the first time this weekend from Friday to Sunday down in St. Augustine. I’m super excited! It should be lots of fun! There are about 25-30 of us going.
My goal is to make this trip as healthy as possible. I’m planning on doing some fishing, kayaking, and trail runs with some friends.
Here’s where I’m drawing a blank…food.
I’m not really planning on eating the food that will be provided by everyone. I want to pack my own stuff. What the heck should I bring that won’t go bad and is relatively healthy???
So far I’ve got:
-granola bars
-oranges
-apples
-peanut butter/almond butter
-almonds
-carrots
-beef jerky?
What do you suggest I bring for 3 days of eating/snacking???

Some 100% whole grain bread for easy sandwiches? Maybe some canned beans? Haha I agree with everyone on the tuna

Lots of the pouches of tuna. You can eat them right out of the pouch. Too mant carbs on that list and not enough protein.

skip the granola and make your own trail mix and then add in some cans of tuna and a con opener lol. Also, make some pre made sandwiches and stick them in a cooler and they should last all weekend if you make enough.
