Camping=I smell.
Yep. Definitely smell like I have been camping for 3 days.
I had such a great weekend! I had never been camping before and I think I am now obsessed with camping! So.much.fun.
It was also to disconnect from everything. No computer, no phone, no tv. So relaxing and fun.
There was about 25 of us and we had quite the awesome set up. 3 camp sites, 10 tents, 3 fire pits, 2 hammocks, and lots of good food and drunken shenanigans.
Friday night was awesome, some of us did some night hiking and exploring, then my friend JoAnna and I decided to go for a night run down to the beach and back which was about 3 miles. It was such a great run. Then pretty much everyone headed down to the beach for some late night drinking and dancing on the beach. We literally brought our party to the beach until 3AM. So fun.
Saturday morning/early afternoon was spent hiking and kayaking. Then we all headed into downtown St. Augustine and went to dinner and went out for some drinks before heading back to the camp site to keep the party going.
It was quite the odd/interesting night. This one guy from our group that I’ve kinda been crushing on for awhile asked me to walk down to the beach with him. So we made the long, dark walk down to the beach and ended up walking and talking on the beach for almost 3 hours. It was great. I really enjoyed getting to spend some time alone with him, he is a really great guy.
This morning we ate breakfast, packed up, and then sadly headed back home. It was such a great camping trip, but I am definitely glad to have my shower and bed back!
I think I have officially caught the camping bug. I love being outdoors and active.
This weekend was just what I needed.
